What Do You Care?

Sept. 3, 2026

While searching for something on the internet recently (an explanation of a motorcycle repair I am working on, actually), I came across a comment from an entertainer (actually a pagan rock star!). He was at a public event with his girlfriend (?) and a reporter commented about the fact that the rock star voted for Trump, and then asked if he still agreed with him. The rock star first said: "what do you care?" and then he told him that reporters all stick their noses in other people's business just to get a "click bait" and that "I'm nobody, my opinion on politics doesn't matter so shut up!" He then suggested that the reporter go "@$#%&*!" (you get the point).

Because we are attracted to the "click bait" type of material, it is very hard for any of us to resist the temptation when we come across it. Each may have a different type of temptation, but we all have one. I cannot side with the rock star's morals, but I certainly can support the fact that he realizes (unlike many of his fellow entertainers) that those who give us news are not really looking for news; they are looking to make you watch them. Let us take heed to this fact, and do what we can to resist supporting their desire to control us. Remember: in these days, sin is just a "click" away.
