Black Friday, what an awful term. But, then, it is pointing out an awful (as in horrible, not as in filled with awe) thing. A day focused on pushing consumerism, greed, and coveting. No, it is not wrong to buy something on sale today, but it is always wrong to be materialistic in whatever you do. Ask yourself the question, am I obsessed with possessions? Only you and God can really answer that. Be honest with yourself and with the Lord. Look to what you have more than what you want to have. Guard your heart, and do not give in to someone enticing you to spend more so that they can make a profit.
