Beware Yon Dragons

Dependencies

April 30, 2025

The power went out at my home this morning, and still is not back on. Thus, this is going to be short (my computer is on battery power, and I have to prioritize how I use it); sorry. I think to myself about how many modern conveniences we are dependent on. It is times like this that are good and healthy for us. They remind us of how fragile our world is, and that makes us ask the question what can I do without? What can you really do without? Do not just say the words; seriously, and honestly ask the question. Electricity is just one thing by itself, but when the electricity goes out, then there are a ton of things that follow along. And, amazingly, none of those things existed 200 years ago. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for reminding us to be dependent on You alone. Thank you for making us look deeply and ask what it is that we really need in this life.
