I have written about this before (multiple times) but it bears repeating because it came up again, and I need to do what I can to make sure people get the point. First, private revelation is never determined by the Church to be authoritative to anyone other than the specific person who receives the revelation. Second, private revelation is only authoritative if it is in full accord with Church teaching. Third, private revelation can only be determined to be in accord with Church teaching, by the Church herself.
In other words, if you think other's are accountable to follow your private revelation "from God", you are wrong. If you think God told you something that is contrary to what He told the Church, you are wrong. If you think you can figure out on your own whether your private revelation is in accord with the Church, you are wrong. This is why "private revelation" (when it does happen) is so dangerous. Listen to what God has told us in the Scriptures, as it is interpreted by the Church, and laid out for us in the (authoritative) Catechisms.
