Someone once told me that St. George parish needed to work to be more sensitive to those in the "lgbt community". I asked, "Should we also be sensitive to those in the drug addict community? How about the prostitution and pornography community? Or, maybe the thieves community? There is also the murderer's community. And, no one wants to forget the rapist's community! Of course there is also the kidnapper's community. How about the online scammers' community?" He did not appreciate the logic of my argument.
It does not matter what the sin is; impenitence leads to eternal damnation, and there should be no "sensitivity" in that modern sense (which is essentially compromise and permisiveness) to those who reject the salvation of Christ and refuse to turn from their sins. There should instead be a loving call to repentance.
